一对小夫妻闪婚一年之久才终于见面。两方都认为他们的婚姻是外力导致的，夏舒意为了拿到钱救妈妈、而季临宴奶奶是为了夏舒意能够照顾生病的季临宴。正是因为如此季临宴对夏舒意成见颇深。但没想到夏舒意正是自己默默爱着的她。在他低谷的时候正是夏舒意的歌声。劇中敘述1979年的暑假，女主角孟娟（陳妤飾演）邀請大學同學書蘭（劉倩妏飾演）到家中的香蕉園幫忙採收。兩人偷偷發展出一段曖昧的情誼，還結伴到美麗島雜誌社為自由人權發聲，眼看彼此找到心之所向，卻渾然不覺踏入白色恐怖的風暴中。。When a young woman's niece and nephew are threatened with foster care after her sister is hospitalized following yet another overdose, she flees with them until they land in the sleepy town of Bethlehem just before Christmas and a series of kindnesses and coincidences gives the trio a chance at happiness.。
