11岁的少年榎木拓也（山口胜平配音）拥有一个幸福的家庭，父母关系和睦，同时还有一个可爱的弟弟榎木实（版本千夏配音）。一场突出起来的车祸让他的生活发生了翻天覆地的变化，母亲在车祸中丧生，在悲痛中，父亲榎木春美（宫本充配音）成为了家里唯一的支柱。为了减轻父亲的负担，拓也担负起了照顾弟弟的责任。小实可爱的性格给拓也带来了快乐，却也引发了不少的麻烦，加上身边一群擅长制造混乱的朋友们，拓也的生活过得劳累但充实。在照顾弟弟的过程中，拓也渐渐领悟了家庭的意义，同时，失去母亲的伤痛，也随着时间的流逝变成了一段段美好的回忆。。Spring 2001...
