"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。阿丰在河边捕鱼时遭遇怪事，并救下落水的宋妍，又捡到很多珍珠，不料嫂子却告诉他村里有规矩，不能捡河边的东西，否则会遭到龙王的惩罚。之后，怪事频发，阿丰在宋妍的帮助下，抓住了背后作怪的凶手。。
