墨西哥裔女孩克劳丽娅自幼和母亲在美国一起生活。由于过度宠爱，不知天高地厚，年纪轻轻就犯下大罪，被羁押回故乡墨西哥。剧情就此展开.....。Noel Coward's attempt to show how the ordinary people lived between the wars. Just after WWI the Gibbons family moves to a nice house in the suburbs. An ordinary sort of life is led by the family through the years with average number of triumphs and disasters until the outbreak of WWII.。
