平静的大学校园突然被一起流血事件所扰动。顾天亮（王仁君饰）和戴纯（宫翔熙饰）两名大男孩在篮球比赛时发生冲突，最终戴纯因意外身亡。这起事件让戴纯的单身母亲安倩云（江珊饰）及其公婆倍感伤痛。顾家找回因恐慌而逃跑的儿子，并将其带到倩云面前请罪，但倩云坚决要在法庭上为儿子讨回公道。另一方面，倩云的小叔子戴少林及其老婆利欲熏心，企图利用这起事故向顾家索取巨额赔偿，并且还找出目击证人作伪证。天亮妈妈为了儿子受尽委屈，倩云为其感动，使得天亮减轻了罪行。然而更大的厄运接连向倩云袭来，她和顾家的情感纠葛仍将继续……。January is forced to return home after six years traveling abroad.
