本剧改编自手冢治虫的《新选组》，讲述了父亲被斩杀的丘十郎为了磨练剑术报仇加入了新选组。在入伍考试中认识了冷酷的少年大作。出身不明，剑手光一的大作作为期待的大型新人被引入新选组。2人虽然培养了火热的友情，但不知不觉被时代的波浪捉弄，进入了必须互相残杀的悲壮的命运。。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
