Two friends work as cleaners whose jobs are to clean homes and places where people have died or dead bodies are found. One day, they are tasked with cleaning a house where there were three dead bodies inside. Their job is to clean the corpses that have rotted. When they arrived there, they found that there are strange things happening and then they discover a strange book.。失明的战地记者萨拉（米歇尔·莫纳汉 Michelle Monaghan 饰）与男友住在一栋公寓顶层。这一日，她如常回家后，却不知危险正悄然逼近。她的男友其实是一名劫匪，不久后刚刚和同伙干了一笔大单子，却趁同伙不备卷了现金和钻石逃走，于是因此惹来了杀身之祸。当萨拉摸到了男友尸体时为时已晚。闯入家中的劫匪同伙（巴里·斯隆 Barry Sloane 饰）控制住萨拉，他威逼利诱，试图让萨拉吐露赃物的隐藏之处。但是显然这个男人小瞧了眼前的盲人女孩，战场的严苛考验和残酷洗礼早就锻炼了她坚韧不屈的意志。不消几个回合，萨拉便从她手中逃脱。然而，更严酷的考验还在后面……。
