一段嘉庆早年的民间传说，言情、武侠、冒险、推理，情节跌宕起伏、悬念迭生。乾隆末年，太子嘉庆（刘德凯饰）无意得知生母尚在，为寻访生母下落，嘉庆携护卫李勇（宋达民饰）乔装入台。寻访期间，机缘巧合，先后结识了二两（周明增饰）、明珠（狄莺饰）等人，在二、明等人的帮助下，破奇案，惩奸佞！每每在危急时刻化险为夷。而嘉庆、明珠也因此而互生情愫。然终究地位悬殊，一段感情将何以为继？生母下落又在何方？与此同时，奸臣和坤勾结白莲教意图谋害嘉庆，内忧外患，嘉庆又如何化解？。This film takes place in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Matic lives in a large neighbourhood of concrete blocks of flats with his mother. As his father is temporarily working in Libya, they live alone.
