This is the second film about the detective Feluda (Soumitra Chatterjee) set in the holy city of Benares, where he (along with his cousin, Topshe and friend, Lalmohan Ganguly) goes for a holiday. But the theft of a priceless deity of Lord Ganesh (the Elephant God) from a local household forces him to start investigation. Feluda comes in direct confrontation with Maganlal Meghra...。姜思楠是老首长之女，与大学生傅景明相恋，隐瞒身份在自家百货大楼当售货员，遭傅母朱听莲和其青梅杨安琪羞辱。傅景明出国留学，承诺归来迎娶她。五年间，姜思楠在哥哥帮助下将化工厂做成全国龙头，盼傅景明归来，不料他回国后感谢杨安琪。。
