朱文全待人热情，好管闲事，不免有些婆婆妈妈，人称"朱大嫂"。文全自幼对"十兄弟"故事着迷，希望兄弟姐妹如剧中人一样团结一致，生活的开开心心。虽然他的父亲早逝，但凭着母亲曾楚燕的乐观及坚毅意志，终于把朱文全四兄妹抚养成人。朱文全为了减轻母亲的工作，不但继承父业，以特种行业--批脚指甲为生，更肩负起家中的大小事物。 二弟文佳和女友婚后搬入朱家同住，但因生活习惯的不同，家庭矛盾迭起，最后夫妇二人决定搬出外住。文全为了弟弟的幸福，虽百般不愿他们外迁，但仍把自己为结婚用的多年积蓄资助了二人买楼，因此另自己与女友莫丽萍的婚事遥遥无期。莫丽萍因此对文全完全失望，一怒之下离开，到国内工作，最后另结新欢，与文全的一段感情随风而逝。 三弟文安往往兴之所至，鲁莽行事。一次因收养了一头流浪狗而兴开设狗场念头。文全感到文安的炙热之情，多次在资金上给与援助。可惜文安管理不善，狗...。August 1984.
