该剧讲述的是清末民初，一个徽州大宅内两代徽娘再现徽州独具特色的人文历史，并演绎出一段缠绵悱恻的爱情故事。。Would you fall in love with a person whose voice you haven't heard for months, whose face you haven't touched, you can't smell, you don't even have the chance to pass by the same street, you can't even be in the same photo, who is miles away from you, even by seas, islands and cities。某学院的毕业生方晴和范钧是感情非常好的一对，分配工作时，范钧响应国家号召，要求去西北工作，在艰苦的环境中锻炼自己。但方晴却不同意这个观点，她想留校作研究生，她认为学校条件好，提高得快。在这两种不同思想的支配下，两个人走了两种不同的道路…。
