The experiment they decided to undertake was extreme: To heal nature, they had to let it heal itself. ...。在长江医科大学60周年校庆的喜悦氛围中，潘一丁（许还山饰）教授作为从教40年的资深医生受到了表彰。校长龚凡（郭允泰饰）将一幅写有"神医圣手"四个大字的条幅送给潘教授，潘教授感激之余转身将条幅送给自己的老师仲老先生（张良饰），以表达对教育之恩的感谢。这40年的医疗成就中，潘教授付出了许多从失误中得来的宝贵教训。在面对荣誉的同时，他决定出版一本总结自己失误的书籍《历年误诊病例剖析》，希望这些失败的经验能给人们带来启示。然而，在校庆之际，发生了一起误诊导致死亡的悲剧。死者是舞蹈学校的优秀学生赵小妹（耿忠饰），而主治医生正是潘一丁的儿子潘大成（徐展饰）。潘大成年轻有为，但也有一些傲慢自大的倾向。这次他在给赵小妹诊断时匆忙而草率，忽略了一些重要的症状，导致了误诊的结果。。
